Qardahi’s note to Negaheno:
The West’s reaction towards the Disaster Was More Painful Than the Earthquake in Syria and Turkey Itself
George Qardahi Lebanon’s former minister of information referring to the dual approach of the West towards the earthquake disaster in Syria said:
“The West’s reaction towards the disaster is more painful than the recent earthquake in Syria and Turkey”.
According to Neghaheno report the West showed that they fail to observe even the smallest humane values. Their definition on human rights is a dual definition and may vary based on their geographical interest. The oppressive law of the US has endangered the lives of thousands of people in the earthquake- stricken areas of Syria. Only Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and a few other countries rushed in to help the people in the earthquake -stricken areas of Syria and Turkey in the early hours of the catastrophe without any political stance.
Iran and Turkey have had the largest share of offering aid to the earthquake -stricken people both in Syria and Turkey. Although Tehran and Iraq are not happy with the policies of Turkey and even regard some of Erdogan’s attempts challenging for both countries in particular for Iraq. Therefore, one can say that the recent earthquake was a kind of assessment and criteria for proving the West false claims about human rights and supporting humanity
