Canadian writer and analyst, regarding the offence towards the Holy Quran in the European countries said that insulting the divine books is not an act of an individual rather, it follows political objectives in particular, that these attempts are highlighted in the media.
According to Negaheno report the international reactions also fail to be big enough to be used as a deterring factor. This journalist added: “Burning the Old Testament and the Bible after burning the Quran is a dubious act that showed the main aim was to create a gap between religions and also to legitimize such insults.”He carried on saying: “The rational suggestion is to criminalize such acts by the security council for the entire world and for all the religions.
”Referring to the dual policies of the west in its interaction with the world, Eric Walberg said: “While the west criminalizes denying the Holocaust it keeps silent towards insulting the religions and even supports it.
”He continued: “The reactions of the Swedish government that tries to exonerate itself is unacceptable.”
