Ali Mattar’s Significant Explanations on Hochstein’s Trip and US and Israel’s Conditions
In an exclusive interview with Negaheno report researcher in international relations Dr. Ali Mattar explained on US envoy’s trip to Beirut and Washington and Tel Aviv’s conditions.
According to Negaheno report international relations researcher Dr. Ali Mattar said that based on Ravid Barak’s article in Axios journal, “The enemy” is after a permission to its forces for an active participation in operating a plan so to ensure Hizballah eradication. The Israeli enemy intends to arm and repair its military infrastructure in the southern parts of Lebanon near the border.
Mattar believes this intension is with the aim of forcing Lebanon to yield and to impose difficult conditions through air, land and sea invasion something that neither Lebanon nor Hizballah would accept.
This researcher added: “Lebanon’s resistance has not yet been defeated despite over a month of Zionist regime’s assault and is still powerful enough to counter-attack as this has been proved by several incidents including preventing their land progress and launching missiles and drones towards the occupied lands.
Referring to US envoy ‘s visit to Lebanon he said these demands are in complete contrast with UN resolution 1701 something that no one agrees with even the international community believes that Israel’s impossible demands depict Hochstein’s weakness.
The US envoy cannot dictate Israel’s conditions to the Lebanese for he is not an impartial mediator. He is after some basic amendments in the 1701 resolution such as an increase in the number of UNifil forces. He explained that the problem is in the changes of their assignment in UNifil so to become similar to the multi-national forces which Lebanon strictly rejects this.
