New Nuclear Negotiations: A Repeated Past or a Way to Future

Recent statements of Rafael Grossi on the necessity of holding new nuclear negotiations with Iran, right in the midst of implementing the last articles of JCPOA by 2025, pressures have been escalated for imposing fresh restrictions on Iran’s nuclear programs.
According to Negaheno report the recent remarks made by IAEA Director General, Rafael Grossi on Iran’s nuclear programs and the past experiences have shown that the policies of exerting pressure and lack of executional guarantee has made former agreements ineffective. In 2015 the JCPOA was signed with the intention of restricting Iran’s nuclear programs in return for lifting sanctions. But the US unilateral withdrawal and Europe’s indifference led to the breakup of this agreement.
Based on article 36 of JCPOA Iran reduced its commitments and developed its nuclear program based on its national development requirements. The IAEA that should remain impartial has politized its approach with its recent statements. The future of any form of new agreement would depend on the practical guarantee and return to negotiations based on mutual respect.
