Negaheno special :
The depth of Iran-Iraq relations is unbreakable/We must take the initiative

According to Negah No, it is said that during his visit to Iran, Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mahmoud al-Mashhadani focused on two important issues: armed groups and the rapprochement of Syria and Turkey with Iraq.
After the fall of Bashar al-Assad in Syria, the demand of Iraqi armed groups to expel American forces from the country decreased and they reconsidered their demand. Iraqi and American officials raised this issue in an interview with the Associated Press.
At that time, the agency wrote that the fall of Assad had weakened Tehran’s influence in the region and had caused Iran’s allied groups in Iraq to feel weak. The Associated Press noted that many in Iraq fear that ISIS would exploit the security gap and reactivate.
Earlier, the Turkish newspaper Daily Sabah reported that the Iraqi, Syrian and Turkish coalition to fight terrorism highlights several variables in the region, especially in the field of strategic relations and regional security, but this has been interpreted in various ways, including removing Iraq from under Iran’s cloak.
In a short interview with Negah Now reporter, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani said that the two countries had honorable and fair positions towards Palestine.
Referring to the developments in Lebanon, Palestine and also the changes in Syria, he said: Although the axis of resistance lost many of its prominent leaders and prominent figures as a result of these developments, the Islamic Ummah must still take the initiative.
Referring to some scenarios to create a rift between Tehran and Iraq, despite the deep religious, historical and cultural similarities, Al-Mashhadani said that some are seeking to exploit the recent developments in Syria to create a rift between Tehran and Baghdad, but I must say that the two countries and two nations will still remain together.
The speaker of the Iraqi parliament continued that the depth of Iran-Iraq relations is such that it cannot be easily destroyed or disrupted.
