The Haifa – Dahieh Equation Hizbollah’s Secretary General has Kept his Promise

Haifa was bombarded right after the statement released by Israel’s new war minister after the air attacks to Lebanon and the massacres conducted by the army who showed an image of victory that Israel wanted to hold saying: “There will be no ceasefire until Israel attains victory.”

Since Hezbollah’s retaliatory attacks from 22nd September, 2024 around 300 thousand settlers in Haifa have been displaced and while Israel’s war against Lebanon has entered its 2nd month it has reached over 400 thousand people.
Tens of automobiles have been seen moving out of Haifa towards Tel Aviv as a fresh wave of displacement after rockets targeting settlement areas.

During the 50 days of Israel’s war against Lebanon, Haifa and the military bases have been bombarded over 70 times and Hezbollah’s missiles have targeted Haifa almost every day. A large settlement area situated in the north of Haifa city is considered Israel’s economic capital city where over 70 % of weapons, oil and gas trade and heavy and precision industries are carried out there. Haifa Bay consists of naval military bases for monitoring and supervision over the sea and also an anchorage for war ships and submarines, naval weapons depot as well as training and storage bases.
