Tahrir Al-Shaam and the Policy of Suppression
Will the Protests in Syria Enter a New Phase?

Recent changes in west of Syria including cities of Lazeghieh and Tartous indicate that the country is entering a fresh stage for internal and foreign crises. Those that are followed by Tahrir-Al Shaam policy of suppression.
According to Negaheno report Tahrir -Al-Shaam that has taken control of Damascus is now facing a wave of protests by the people while simultaneously the Zionist occupying forces are moving forward in the south of Syria. This situation is bringing an unstable future for the country.
Meanwhile, the emergence of new forces under the military Council of Free Syria led by Colonel Qiyas Suleiman Dela has made a great change in the war field. By taking control of the navy base in Lazeghieh, they are challenging the power balance and probably the clashes will increase in this regard.
Simultaneously, the West policies regarding Syria has experienced some changes. Some of the economic sanctions have been reduced and the Western media have kept silent over some of the Tahrir-Al-Shaam actions. This dual approach has provided the ground for more influence from the foreign players and it could strengthen the proxy groups.
The future of Syria will most likely depend on how to manage its internal crisis and foreign threats. Under such situations that some believe there is a possibility for the disintegration of the country the continuance of the clashes could pave the ground for deep geopolitical changes.
