Trump’s Strategy about Venezuela is Based on James Monroe’s Doctrine

In an exclusive interview with new Visiona, human rights activist and journalist, Dr. Amal Wahdan said: “US president Donald Trump’s strategy against Venezuela is based on James Monroe’s doctrine.”

  Amal Wahdan stressed: “Much of the national security strategy of US president Trump regarding the rest of the world including the western hemisphere, China, central Asia and Africa is based on James Monroe’s doctrine, the fifth US president in 1823 which was aimed at expanding military forces at global level in order to fight potential adversaries and also encountering the expansion of the Western and European identity.”

 This human rights activist reminded: “From Trump’s viewpoint Europe is facing a decline in terms of civilization together with economic recession and is weak in maintaining its military strength.”

She further said: “Trump believes that this volume of migration to Europe would ultimately affect the ratio of the population of the continent and would undermine the US alliance with the NATO members from the European countries however that the US cannot marginalize Europe.”
