Baghdad Conference: Pressures, Oppositions and Conclusions

Hosted by Iraq today the Arab country leaders gathered in Baghdad -Iraq to discuss and lobby on one of the most important challenges in the region, i.e., Gaza and to find political solutions for crisis in Syria and to strengthen economic and security cooperation.
According to Negaheno report, prior to the meeting one of most important issues was whether the president of Syria transitionary state Mohammed Al-Jolani was to be invited as one of the major challenges of Baghdad summit causing grave dispute among the political community of the country.
Finally, Syria’s prime minister Asaad Al-Sheybani took part at this meeting. It appears that many of the Arab countries preferred low-level ranks to participate at this meeting.
Some Arab countries such as Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia had threatened earlier that if Mohammad Al-Jolani was to be absent from the meeting they will be represented by low- level ranks at the meeting.
