Some Key Points on Snapback Trigger

Despite many negotiations made between Tehran and the European side and the agreement made with the IAEA, the three countries namely Germany, France and the UK put to vote the draft snapback resolution which was followed by countries who under Washington’s pressure blocked the diplomacy path.

According to New Visiona, based on technical procedures the sanctions resolution would be implemented by next week.

The Islamic Republic of Iran will continue with the diplomacy path as well as continuing to be prepared for safeguarding its full security and national interests.

The attempt made by the three European countries took place at a time when during the last few months Iran had extensive collaboration with the IAEA and the recent agreements including the Cairo agreement was affirmed by the agency.

Europe’s lack of will and hastiness: The attempt made by the three European countries seems to be more like satisfying Washington including people like Trump and Rubio rather than for the sake of their national interests. This is in fact blocking the way to dialogue by the West.

Lack of seriousness in diplomacy: As was clear in the statement released by the US foreign secretary of state the Europeans entered this stage under US pressure and in actual fact the snapback trigger was Washington’s main objective.

Iran’s rational behavior: By working fully with the IAEA in order to relieve any form of excuses Iran has shown that it has moved with clarity and constructive interaction.

Europe’s lack of good will proved: This attempt has shown how the three European countries are moving with blatant blackmail and extortion and shows they are not actually interested in any real negotiation.

From the very beginning of Trump’s new presidential term, he issued the snapback implementation, therefore, it is quite clear the US and the Europeans never sought for a permanent and win-win agreement.
