Reviewing the Law on Execution of Palestinian Prisoners by Israeli Knesset / Legitimizing Targeted killings
The Israeli parliament (Knesset) approves draft bill for execution of those Palestinian prisoners who have attempted anti -Zionist operations.
Richard Anderson Falk, American university professor and former UN representative in the human rights affairs for Palestine speaking with Negaheno said: “This action by Israel would mean legitimizing targeted killings and it would be in contradiction with Security Council resolutions and international laws.”
He further said: “This law will allow targeted killings take place easily against the Palestinians.” He also added that Israel has no right to take such an action simply for the sake of election consumption or amendment of its political structure. He said: “This law is against human conscience and all international resolutions in particular, the Geneva conventions on the rights of Palestinian prisoners.”
This American university professor stated further that I ask the world community to put Israel under pressure in order to stop the implementation of this law.
